Meet the Founder
For years, Tony Dixon envisioned creating an organization dedicated to youth and encouraging them to “Dare To Dream”. In 2018 his vision became a reality when Tony Dixon Foundation was officially founded. As the Founder and CEO of TDF24, Tony will lead the mission of educating, counseling, supporting, advocating, and encouraging our future leaders.
Dare to Dream sums up Tony’s life from his early days in Reform, AL. Tony was a model ambassador for the title “student-athlete” finishing top 5 in his class, and lettering in band (played the trumpet) baseball, basketball, and football. Football proved to be his niche, winning several all-state and all-american honors and earning him recognition as one of the top athletes in the nation. He was recruited by all of the major universities, though chose to remain close to home and play for the University of Alabama. During his tenure at UA, he continued to excel academically and athletically while remaining visible in the community by volunteering his time. His proudest moment was earning his degree in Business Administration and Commerce, which fulfilled the promise made to his parents. After gradation, his focus shifted to his next goal — playing in the NFL. His awesome college career left him rated one of the top safeties in the country, and was drafted 2nd round by the Dallas Cowboys (56th pick overall). He went on to have five successful seasons in the NFL, before retiring in 2006. With football now behind him, he put his Business degree to work and has achieved great success in corporate America. In less than ten year, he has been promoted to Executive level and is on the path to greater levels in the near future.
Throughout his journey, he has remained committed to his love for youth and can be found speaking, volunteering, and donating to causes that promote youth development. As a father of two sons, he understands the needs and challenges that today’s youth face, and remains passionately dedicated to allowing them to have the same opportunities he was blessed to have.
